On 23 June, Iranian President Ruhani ordered the Minister of the Interior, Fazli, to stop stamping and marking visas on the passports of foreigners visiting the country. Iran's Ministry of the Interior will cooperate with the Iranian Immigration and Customs Department to keep no record of arrivals on the passport of foreigners. Subsequently, a spokesman for the Iranian Cabinet said, "According to the U.S. economic terrorism plan, the U.S. is trying to frighten foreign tourists away from Iran. U.S. President Trump signed an executive order on June 24 to impose sanctions on Iran's Supreme Leader Hamenei and the institutions under his leadership.

The Supreme Leader is responsible for "hostilities"

When Trump signed an executive order at the White House that day, he said the sanctions were a response to a series of recent Iranian actions, including the shooting down of U.S. drones. Iran's Supreme Leader was responsible for these "hostile acts" by Iran. The sanctions will cut off important sources of Finance for Khamenei, the Office of the Supreme Leader and related personnel.

The U.S. Treasury Department also announced sanctions against eight senior commanders of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard on the same day. U.S. Treasury Secretary Manuchin said at a news conference that Trump had asked him to sanction Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif later this week. The U.S. State Department said in a statement the same day that U.S. pressure on Iran's diplomatic isolation and economic limits will continue until Iran decides to negotiate a new comprehensive agreement.

According to another report, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mousavi said at a news conference in Tehran on 24 that Iran does not care about the new sanctions imposed by the United States. The so-called new sanctions are just propaganda tools.

Iran thwarts U.S. cyber attacks

An Iranian official said Thursday that the United States launched cyber attacks on Iran, but failed.

Iran's Minister of Communications and Technical Information, Mohamed Jawad Azari Jahrumi, wrote in the social media Twitter: "They tried everything, but the attack was unsuccessful." Jahrumi said that cyber attacks were acts of "cyber terrorism." Last year, our firewall intercepted 33 million attacks.

U.S. media disclosed Tuesday that, with the approval of U.S. President Donald Trump, the U.S. military launched a cyber attack on Iran on the 20th, paralysing the computer system of the Iraqi side to control rocket and missile launches.

The computer network of Iran's Natanz nuclear facility was previously attacked by the Seismic Network virus. Many people believe that the attack was launched by the United States and Israel.

Jahrumi said in May that Iraqi researchers have developed a firewall software to protect Iranian industrial facilities from the "seismic network" virus.
