Xinhua News Agency, Zhengzhou, June 19, Xinhua News Agency, Zhengzhou, learned from the people's government of Dengfeng City, Henan Province, that after preliminary preparatory construction and testing, seven mobile 5G base stations in the Shaolin Temple scenic area were officially opened and put into use recently, marking that the Shaolin Temple scenic area has entered the 5G era.


Shaolin Temple is a world cultural heritage, a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national 5A tourist attraction. It receives more than 3 million visitors every year. In order to meet the high quality demand of video, audio and image for Chinese and foreign tourists, Zhengzhou Mobile has designated Shaolin scenic spot as the first 5G network scenic spot coverage pilot in Western Zhengzhou. After one month's planning and construction, on June 15, 7 mobile 5G base stations in Shaolin scenic spots, such as ticket office, east of Shaolin Temple, Tarim West and Songyang Cableway, were opened. The newly opened 5G base station has a peak download rate of 800M/s through technical testing, and can download a HD movie in seconds.
